Baird Industries

Position:
QC Technician
Position Summary:
The QC Technician will perform attribute measurements on components and
parts as required under the direction of the QA Supervisor. All
inspection criteria is pre-defined on computerized data collection
sheets. All inspection data is used to determine if the parts meet
internal and customer requirements.
Responsibilities:
The QC Technician is responsible for performing all inspection needs of
the company as directed by our QC Supervisor. The typical tasks include
but are not limited to:

Performing all
tests, inspections and measurements required by pre-defined
inspection forms.

Conducting
inspection of: incoming raw materials, first article parts,
in-process materials and finished goods.

Reading and
interpreting customer prints and specifications.

Assisting with
the monitor of manufacturing processes through pre-defined
in-process sampling and inspection.

Performing
other quality related tasks as assigned by the Quality Supervisor.
Qualifications:

Requires 1-2
years experience in the quality field.

Conscientious
work and attention to detail while working with numbers is required.

Must be able to
read and interpret blueprints.

Must have a
working knowledge of quality control in a manufacturing environment.

Must possess
interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to be
flexible in a team-oriented environment.

Familiarity
with measurement instruments desirable:
-
Micrometers
• Pin Gages
-
Calipers •
Tensile Tester
-
Must have
some knowledge of Excel and computerized data collection.
-
Familiarity
with GMP or wire and cable testing a plus.
